Yu Shu of Colorado grew up in Southwest China. She developed a passion for art at an early age of five and started by drawing almost anything on any surface she could find. Her family was artsy, and they taught her to see the beauty in simple things and shapes. At the age of nine, she formally began her art journey with traditional Chinese watercolor.
